The program consists of 3 windows being the data (spreadsheet), GLM and Graph.
Data window
Data may be entered into the data window manually or imported as a text file (with spaces or tabs as separaters) or opened as an existing GLMStat file. The data consists of columns of either real or integer data. Integer data is limited to the range of 1 to 32 and is used as the factors in the GLIM. Integer data with negative or more than 32 values is treated as real. An integer column is indicated by a [] enclosing the number of levels at the head of the column below the column name. Thios should be automatically updated as the data is changed.
Options in the data menu allow the columns to be formatted, transformed or factorial levels to be generated.
GLM window and menu
The GLM is defined using the Define item in the GLM menu. This menu is reproduced in the floating palette. The Fit item is then used to determine the terms in the model. Results from the fit are available using the Estimate, Residual and Corr items in the GLM menu.
Graph window
Graphs are created using either New Scatter... or New Residual (for plot of sorted residuals against normal scores) item under the Graph menu. Scatter plots may be modified by using the Select item.
Graphs will be automatically updated after each fit if this is necessary.
Record
Using the Record option in the File menu causes all output (except graphs) to be saved to a file for later editting.
